#11 The Faith of Our Forefathers
Dr. Stephen Phinney: Freemasons vs. Christians. The Freemasons were members of a fraternal society that advocated Enlightenment - principles of inquiry that were centered on human logic.
Christianity centers around faith in Jesus Christ as the Son of God, the Messiah, and the Savior.
Believers place their trust in Jesus’ sacrifice on the cross for the forgiveness of sins. Salvation is attained through faith, repentance, and accepting Jesus as the indwelling Savior.
Universalists believe that everyone will ultimately be saved and reconciled to God without salvation through Jesus Christ.
Universalism is appealing because it reflects a desire for universal salvation and God’s relentless love without a conversion. However, it contradicts explicit New Testament teachings about hell, judgment, and eternal consequences.
The faith choices of America’s Founding Fathers remain a mysterious topic of spirited debate, and understanding their religious beliefs is crucial for the context in which the United States was born. Let’s take a look at the differing significance of their faith:
The Diverse Religious Backgrounds of Our Founders:
The Founding Fathers hailed from various religious backgrounds, including Protestantism, Deism, and other Christian denominations.
Protestantism: Followers of the doctrines of Martin Luther. In the early years, it was considered a remake of the Catholic Church, which was not an accepted religious practice until John F. Kennedy. Catholicism was considered a global, state-driven governance system that threatened America’s founding principles.
Deism: Deism is a philosophical position and rationalistic theology that generally rejects revelation as a source of divine knowledge, thus denying God, Jesus Christ, and the Holy Spirit as the supreme triune of governance. Instead, it asserts that empirical human logic & reasoning and observation of the natural world are exclusively logical, reliable, and sufficient to determine the existence of a Supreme Being (the Great Architect) as the creator of the universe. This is the religion of the Masonic Freemasons.
Christian Denominations: This group was much different than the traditional Protestant group. While traditional Protestants adhered to a makeover of the Catholic Church - robes, tall caps, icons, liturgy, etc., the Christian Denomination groups were known for their independence of being managed by governing institutions. These groups became known as the forefathers of modern Christianity that advances a personal relationship with Jesus Christ through a born-again salvation experience in Christ.
While some of our forefathers were devout Christians, others leaned toward Deism, an Enlightenment-influenced worldview emphasizing reason and natural law.
THE ENLIGHTENMENT ERA
The Enlightenment era and the Freemasons share a fascinating historical connection.
The Freemasons were members of a fraternal society that advocated Enlightenment principles of inquiry that were centered on human logic, science, and human rights. While they did not identify themselves as a religion, their roots derive from the Luciferian society - worship of Satan. Today referenced as the Illuminati Trilateral Commission. The Trilateral Commission is a non-governmental international religious organization that aims to foster closer cooperation between the top ten nations of the world. The TC is what drives the modern-day European Union and its tenants. In fact, before the EU was established in 1993, the Illuminati managed nations covertly through their secret meetings directly.
The battle between the Freemasons and the organic Christian believers within the founding of America is significant, if not globally historic.
Two groups arrived upon the newfound land we call America - the Freemasons and Puritan Christians. Both groups came from Europe, primarily England. While the Freemasons were sent directly by the Illuminati Trilateral Commission, the Puritans arrived as additional passengers initially unplanned by the TC. While Freemasonry spread from the British Isles to the American colonies during the Colonial Era, a movement of God erupted through the Puritans, which ignited a spiritual war of sorts between the two groups. The Freemasons abhorred the beliefs of the Puritan’s single God, Jesus Christ, and the Puritans considered Freemasons as an enemy of the Gospel.
From the beginnings, the Freemasons established Grand Lodges (central governing bodies) who issued charters to individual lodges in North America, which became the first organized institution in developing the United States Constitution, as well as other significant documents. Both power players, Masons & Puritans, pushed for doctrinal language to be integrated into the founding documents.
As we know today, both parties made use of recruiting “brothers” to pledge their support to one another in governing systems and religious thought until death parted them. Out of all the men who have served as President of the United States, 100% have been approached by the Freemason’s House of the Temple in DC with an honorary 33rd-degree Masonic status. While few turned down this offer, the ones that did were considered an enemy of Enlightenment. Thus, propagating a constant political struggle between America, the land of the free, and the international globalists that manage world affairs. This tradition began with the nation’s first president, George Washington, and most recently included President Obama as their first alleged 33rd-degree black Mason.
As in the early days, when a President or high official of governing affairs becomes a high-degree Mason, they are obligated to work directly with the Illuminati Trilateral Commission, now the European Union.
These two groups are at the root of Spiritual Propulsion of the Patriot Cause:
When you hear or read of the Patriot Cause in modern news, many ideations come to mind. However, in the early years of our country, Patriot meant the supporters of anti-masonic control - those who supported the independence of America versus being dominated by the European Masons. In fact, the American Revolution was based on this differing ideological premise.
Historian Thomas S. Kidd noted that the evangelical tradition provided spiritual propulsion to the Patriot cause during the American Revolution.
Faith played a strong role in motivating these early Patriots, reinforcing their commitment to liberty and justice, and refuting global control. Furthermore, the American Civil War was based on the same motivation - the South being dominated, empowered, and financed by the Freemasons, and the North being supporters of Patriotism of America’s independence. Much later, the Civil Rights Movement was embedded in the Freemasons maintaining control over “black” people. Keeping in mind that Freemasons believe that the “black race” is inferior - if not “less than human.” In this, we have the reason for the historic inter-fighting that took place when the House of the Temple offered President Obama an alleged 33rd-degree membership.
Nothing New Under the Sun
Deism, associated with the Enlightenment, continues to reject most of the traditional Christian doctrines. Noting that the Masonic membership is the largest secret society in the world today. They are as relentless today as they were in the founding days of our country. Today their movement is called the deep state against conservative patriots. For example, President Trump is considered a Patriot, and President Biden is considered a Socialistic Globalist. Same conflict, same war, and the same ideological differences.
The Masonic Deists questioned the Incarnation, Virgin Birth, Atonement, Resurrection, and other supernatural elements of authentic Christian faith. While most Masons will say they support Jesus Christ as one of their spiritual leaders, this is not true. Once they arrive at the 32nd-degree status, they are required to submit to the deity of their spiritual leader, the illumined one, Lucifer - angel of light, or leader of enlightenment.
Unlike orthodox indwelt Christians, Masonic deists believed that God did not directly intervene in human affairs or perform miracles. In this they justify their efforts in managing the world for their “god.” Just to name a few, the documented Masons who pursued such managing activities were Benjamin Franklin, George Washington, John Adams, Thomas Jefferson, and James Madison as examples.
However, this characterization oversimplifies their complex beliefs. History notes that many started out as deistic, some renounced Freemasonry before they died, converting to orthodox indwelt Christianity. As with most ambitious Wanna-Be leaders, we join forces that we later see as evil and destructive of authentic freedom. Such has been the case with many of our Masonic founding fathers.
KEEPING HISTORY IN PLAY
Preserving American history is crucial for several compelling reasons - our Identity and Heritage, lessons learned from the past, logic in cultural wars, inspiration and Patriotism, understanding the evolution of demonic and righteous change, and being able to embrace Biblical prophecies in global governance.
While some Founders held deistic views, many worked to remain neutral. Among them were founders who focused on the basics of devout Christianity, without offending the masses. As in the case of Samual Chase, Patrick Henry, John Jay, Roger Sherman, and a host of others.
The Balance of Faith and Reason Is in Christ Alone:
The Founders navigated a delicate balance between faith and reason. The authentic believers relied on the indwelling Life of Christ, while the universalist Masons depended on their own human logic, reasoning, and self-will.
They drew inspiration from both Christian principles, the Bible, and Enlightenment ideals from a deistic perspective. In both cases, their faith, or beliefs, cemented their commitment to liberty, equality, and individual rights, which became the red thread of most of our founding documents.
Legacy and Constitutional Permanence:
Acknowledging the Founders’ diverse beliefs enriches our understanding of the First Amendment - freedom of religion, freedom of speech, freedom of the press, the right to assemble peaceably, and the right to petition the government.
The separation of church and state might not have been the original ideal of Puritans, but it was not meant to exclude religion from public life but to prevent government interference in matters of faith, which remains a constant battle to this day.
The Founders sought a society where religious freedom flourished without state-imposed orthodoxy. When a state, or government, interferes with faith and its beliefs, by developing policies to hold them at bay, that governing system will implode by the Hand of God Himself. This is likely upon us.
In conclusion, the faith of America’s Founding Fathers was multifaceted, reflecting a rich integration of beliefs. Somehow, by the Grace of God, it managed to survive the nation’s people of hatred.
Their commitment to liberty, justice, and moral virtue was deeply intertwined with their religious convictions - orthodox or otherwise. Understanding this complexity allows us to appreciate the enduring legacy of their vision for a free and just nation.
Today it is believed that 90+% of humanity functions under the beliefs of Masonic deism. Proving this secret society indeed is winning the battle of religious ideations. If orthodox indwelling Christianity has any “punch” left in its arsenal, it will require every ounce of evangelism to replenish our founding father’s passions.
