#37 Voting for Lies
Dr. Stephen Phinney: People may be swayed by charismatic leaders, persuasive rhetoric, or a desire to belong to a particular group - ending in the masses voting for the script rather than policies.
The phenomenon of people voting for lies is a profound mystery that has puzzled many. It often stems from a complex interplay of psychological, social, and cultural factors. People may be swayed by charismatic leaders, persuasive rhetoric, or a desire to belong to a particular group - ending in the masses voting for the script rather than policies. Cognitive biases, such as confirmation bias, can lead individuals to accept information that aligns with their preexisting beliefs or cultural passions, even if it is false. Additionally, the spread of misinformation through social media and other channels can create echo chambers where falsehoods are reinforced. Ultimately, this mystery highlights the importance of critical thinking, media literacy, and a commitment to seeking the truth in a world where deception can easily take root.

VOTING FOR LIES
The psychological irony of people voting for lies that align with their depraved state versus the indwelling Life of Yeshua is profoundly troubling. In their spiritual blindness, they are drawn to falsehoods that resonate with their fallen nature, seeking validation and comfort in deception. This self-deception perpetuates a cycle of moral decay while they reject the TRUTH of the Word that could set them free. Without the transformative power of Yeshua’s indwelling Life, their hearts remain hardened, and their minds are darkened, unable to discern the light of truth. This tragic irony underscores the necessity of the Gospel, which alone can illuminate their path and bring true freedom and restoration.
Voting for Satan.
In a world influenced by the fallen nature, many people are susceptible to the lies propagated by Yeshua’s enemy, Satan. These lies often manifest as deceptive ideologies, false promises, and misleading narratives that appeal to human pride, fear, and selfish desires. When individuals, driven by their fallen nature, choose to embrace these falsehoods, they inadvertently support and perpetuate the very schemes that seek to undermine the truth and righteousness of Yeshua. This reality highlights the importance of spiritual discernment and the need for believers to remain steadfast in their indwelling faith, seeking the guidance of the Holy Spirit to navigate through the enemy’s deceptions and uphold the TRUTH of the Gospel.
SATAN IS THE KING OF VOTER FRAUD
You are of your father, the devil, and your will is to do your father's desires. He was a murderer from the beginning, and does not stand in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he lies, he speaks out of his own character, for he is a liar and the father of lies. (John 8:44)
Imagine a scenario where Satan, the adversary, casts his vote through individuals who have not genuinely embraced salvation. These individuals, though perhaps outwardly religious, lack the transformative indwelling of Yeshua. As a result, their actions and decisions inadvertently align with Satan’s agenda, furthering his kingdom. They become unwitting agents, promoting values and behaviors contrary to the teachings of Christ. This subtle yet powerful influence can permeate communities, leading to a gradual erosion of authentic faith and the spread of deception. It underscores the importance of true spiritual rebirth and discernment in recognizing and countering such influences.
THE PERCENTAGE OF AUTHENTIC CHRIST-AS-LIFE VOTERS
In a world where only 2% of voters are authentically indwelt by Christ, the remaining 98% either masquerade as Christians or openly reject the faith. This stark contrast highlights the significant challenge true believers face in navigating a society where genuine spiritual transformation is rare. The 2% must rely on the power of Christ’s indwelling presence to stand firm in Yeshua, offering a resolution of hope and authenticity in a landscape dominated by superficiality and opposition. Their mission becomes one of Biblical significance as they seek to embody Christ’s love, truth, and Life drawing others towards a deeper, more authentic relationship with Him.
Authentic believers in Christ have a Biblical responsibility to vote for righteousness, as their choices reflect their commitment to God’s principles and the advancement of the soon-coming reign of Yeshua’s Kingdom on earth. Voting for righteousness means supporting candidates and policies that align with Biblical values, such as justice, compassion, integrity, and Biblical Truth. By doing so, believers can influence society positively, promoting laws and leadership that honor God and protect the vulnerable - let alone make a stand on God’s Word, which is noted in Heaven. This act of voting is not just a civic duty but a spiritual one, as it demonstrates faith in action and a desire to see God’s will done on earth as it is in Heaven. In a world often swayed by self-interest and moral relativism, the votes of righteous believers can be a beacon of hope and truth, guiding the nation toward a more just and godly future.
How would Christ vote through you?
If Yeshua were to vote through you, it would reflect His heart for justice, compassion, and truth. His vote would prioritize the well-being of the marginalized, the oppressed, and the vulnerable, seeking to uplift those often overlooked by society, which could challenge others to receive Him as their indwelling Savior. It would be a vote for policies that promote peace, reconciliation, and the flourishing of all creation. Yeshua’s idealism would guide us to support leaders who embody integrity, humility, and a genuine desire to serve others selflessly. Ultimately, His vote would be a testament to the transformative power of His Father’s love and the hope for a world where God’s kingdom values are lived out in every aspect of life.
The power of Yeshua flows through us, guiding our choices and actions, including our votes, to reflect His love, justice, and truth in the world.
Voting is a vital civic duty that allows individuals to influence the direction of their community and nation. While Jesus may not have been political, nor is He today, He taught principles of justice, compassion, and stewardship that can guide our decisions. By voting, we have the opportunity to support leaders and policies that align with these values, promoting a society that reflects the love and righteousness of Christ. Additionally, voting is a way to exercise our responsibility as citizens, ensuring that our voices are heard and that we contribute to the common good. Even if Jesus isn’t political, our faith can inspire us to engage in the political process with integrity and purpose.
