Ladies and Gentlemen, esteemed readers, and cherished members of our International Global Compassion in Action recipients, we announce our 2024 selection - Judge Mark T. Boonstra.

We set aside this day under the banner of compassion, united by a shared commitment to embody Christ’s teachings in every aspect of our lives. It is with great honor and humility that we introduce the annual IOM America’s Global Compassion in Action Award.
Each year, the ministry of the Institute of Ministry, IOM America, selects one individual from our global community who demonstrates strong Christian ethics, integrity, and an ability to impact the world with their actions.
Past recipients include President George W. Bush, Sharon Lackey, President Donald J. Trump, King, Dr. John Wayabire, Rick Kratz, International Child Safety Agency, Gale & Irma Ethridge, Jeff Brugmann, and a host of others. We are deeply thankful for each of our esteemed members’ service.
This prestigious award is not merely a recognition but a testament to the tireless efforts, selfless service, and profound love demonstrated by individuals who have truly put their indwelling faith into action. They are the unsung heroes who, inspired by the Gospel, have significantly contributed to alleviating suffering, spreading hope of the Gospel into their work efforts, and manifesting God’s love in tangible ways.
In the spirit of the Apostle Paul’s words in Colossians 3:12, “Therefore, as God’s chosen people, holy and dearly loved, clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness, and patience,” this award celebrates those who have clothed themselves in compassion and kindness, serving as ambassadors of God’s indwelling Life through His Son in a world that so desperately needs it.
As we proceed with this pronouncement, let us remember that this award symbolizes not just the extraordinary acts of this year’s awarding candidate, but the potential within each of us to make a difference. It is a call to action for all of us, a reminder of our shared responsibility to reflect Christ’s LIFE & love in our daily lives.

It is with immense pleasure and profound respect that we announce the recipient of this year’s IOM America’s Global Compassion in Action Award. A man of unwavering faith, steadfast commitment, and exemplary service, we are honored to present this award to Judge Mark T. Boonstra.

His service to the state of Michigan, and as a candidate of the Supreme Court, is beyond commendable as he applies Biblical justice to judicial decisions.
